Panel Downloading and Uploading
Some optimising of the routines used in generating and downloading data
has been made. This will be useful when large amounts of data is generated
and downloaded in a single operation, such as importing a large number
of users from an import file.
To gain maximum benefit from the changes,
uploading from the panel for some data types will delete empty records
held in the database, that are then downloaded as deletes when a full download
is done. For data such as access zones, this can be time consuming for
no real gain. The data that can be made faster to download includes clocks,
clock lists, area lists, output lists, holidays, holiday lists and access
zones.

Computer Name Issues
When computer had a name more than 15 characters in length, Version 2.3.0
and 2.3.1 did not handle this properly, and there were problems with installing

15 characters is limit set by Windows for the computer
NetBIOS name.
Genie uses the NetBIOS name to identify the Master computer.
If the name was longer than the 15 characters Genie stored, the names did
not match, and the message 'Waiting for Server' would appear when Genie
was restarted.
Genie now correctly handles computer names longer than
15 characters.

Report by Employee code requires that the Employee code field be entered for each user in the system. This field is then part of the data exported for TriMicro.It is expected that this information will also need to be added to the TriMicro database.
Report by Users Number uses the internal Genie Users Number to identify each user, and removes the need to input employee codes.The Users Number will still need to be added to the TriMicro database to cross reference users. Note that the Genie Users Number IS NOT the same as the Genesis User No in the panel. The Genie Users Number is displayed in the status bar at the bottom of the Users Centre. This wizard has been redeveloped and now includes a function to delete a range of keys. Only keys that are not issued are deleted. If the range of keys given contains issued keys, these are ignored by the delete request.

The Firstname field has been added to the default sort sequence.

A new option has been added to the Points Centre to allow display of points within the branches of the tree in numerical order as well as description order.
A new button has been added to the Area window that allows operators to generate a list of inputs in the selected area.

Key Management Wizard
The first time this wizard was opened after the installation of a new system, it did not display properly. Once closed down and re-opened it behaved properly. The wizard now behaves the first time after installation.

When Genie closes down, any report screens would not close automatically. This has been rectified.

Archive Backup
Archives for V2R2 were not backing up properly. This was caused by a change to the archiving introduced in R2, and has now been fixed.
